Bootle Mark, No 478 Is also the Branch Fund-raising Organiser for SSAFA, Merseyside. (Formerly known as The Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association - Forces Help). They are a Registered Charity, No 210760, established in 1885. They are unique in that they are the only Military Charity originally formed to support both the serving and veteran community and their families. That ethos is maintained to this day. |

| The Merseyside Branch are hosting a Concert at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, at 6.30 p.m. on Saturday, 14th December 2013 to be given by the Military Wives Choir, RAF Shawbury. Also appearing are the Formby Silver Band as well as Danielle Thomas, Soprano. The whole event being hosted by Roger Phillips of BBC Radio Merseyside. | |
| Tickets for the Concert are £13.00 and £16.00 and all proceeds will go to the Merseyside Branch of ssafa. Tickets are on sale on the Cathedral Website at http://www.cathedralshop.com/ Alternatively they can by obtained by calling the Cathedral on 0151 702 7255 | |
